The first show I actually worked on a little bit. All I did was some sewing and hot gluing, so it wasn't much, but those are some of my favorite activities. This piece was created by Applied Mechanics, and this is the first time I've seen anything from them. It was a sort of installation art meets theatre piece called, Ses Voyages Sauvages. The entire thing took place in the director/co-creator, Becky's apartment, overtaking any sense of a normal living space. It was spectacular. Each room was a different environment with a specific character of two, with most journeying into a new environment.
I really liked this piece. It was unlike anything I'd ever seen before, and I can't even comprehend how it was conceived. I immediately told Becky I would help out whenever they needed. I made Brandon come with me to see this. He was pretty freaked out by the idea of actors performing within arms reach, but he enjoyed it!
Another good night with good theatre.
